Classic Lemon and Honey Rooibos Iced Tea

Rooibos is indigenous to the Cederberg region of South Africa and is a staple in every local household.

Ingredients

  • 4 Rooibos tea bags
  • 1 liter boiling water
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
  • Lemon slices and fresh mint for garnish
  • Ice cubes

Method

    Steep the tea bags in boiling water for 10 minutes.

    Remove the tea bags and stir in the honey while the tea is still hot.

    Allow the tea to cool to room temperature, then stir in the lemon juice.

    Refrigerate until chilled.

    Serve over ice garnished with lemon slices and mint.
