These fritters are a staple at Sunday lunches and are traditionally drenched in a hot cinnamon syrup.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked mashed pumpkin
  • 1 cup cake flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 egg
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying
  • Cinnamon sugar for coating

Method

    Mix mashed pumpkin with egg and sugar until smooth.
